About the PTO
We are the parents, guardians and teachers who make the extras happen at Clark Elementary. Here is who we are, what we fund and how to be part of it.
Our mission
The Clark Elementary PTO exists to support Clark students, teachers and families. We raise money for the things the school budget does not cover, bring families together outside the classroom, and give teachers a hand when they ask for one.
We keep it simple: a few fundraisers a year, a handful of events everyone looks forward to, and an open meeting every month where any family can see where the money goes and have a say in it.
What we do
- Fund field trips so every class can go, whatever a family can pay.
- Stock classrooms with books, art supplies and science kits.
- Grant teacher requests for projects and programs, voted on at PTO meetings.
- Host family events: movie night, the fall carnival, the spring picnic and more.
- Thank the staff with appreciation week and a few surprises during the year.
Where the money goes
Every dollar we raise goes back to Clark. The board shares the budget at every meeting.
Field trips and buses
Admission and transportation so every class gets to go, whatever a family can pay.
Classroom supplies
Books, art materials, science kits and the small things teachers would otherwise buy themselves.
Teacher grants
Twice a year, teachers apply for funding for a project or program. The PTO votes on the requests at a meeting.
Family events
Movie night, the fall carnival, the spring picnic and the little extras that make them feel special.
Books and reading
New titles for the library and every classroom, plus the book fair and reading challenges.
How to join
You already have. Every Clark parent, guardian, teacher and staff member is a PTO member. There are no dues and no forms.
To get involved, come to a monthly meeting in the Clark library, sign up for an hour of volunteering, or give what you can. All three are welcome, and none of them is required.
